Alina Engström previously worked as a research assistant at the Department of Economic History and International Relations at Stockholm University and as an analyst at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (UI). She currently works for the Swedish Defence Research Agency, FOI.
Alina holds two master’s degrees in political science with a focus on European governance and public administration from Utrecht School of Governance and Universität Konstanz. She has a B.A. in political science from University of Hamburg, Germany. Alina has previously worked at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and as a research assistant at Universität Hamburg/Universität Konstanz, Germany in projects concerning agenda-setting, party politics, and coalition formations in Europe.
In her current research, Alina focuses on analysis of creeping crises in the international system.
