Elin Jakobsson earned her PhD in International Relations at Stockholm University. She currently works as a senior analyst at Sweden’s Defence Research Agency (FOI). Click here for more information.
She is interested in international policy making on complex policy issues in general and in relation to climate migration and other climate security norms in particular.
Elin holds a PhD in International Relations from Stockholm University, being the first in Sweden to attain this degree in the subject of IR. She also holds a M.A. and B.A. in Political Sciences with a major in Public Administration, and with a focus on policy analysis, from School of Public administration at Gothenburg University. Elin has previously held an internship with The Swedish Parliamentary Research Service and also worked with the Swedish Migration Board.
Elin has published in the field of international norm dynamics, especially related to climate-security norms and migration. Norm Acceptance in the International Community is her doctoral dissertation.
